Planned Outage - Hickman Co. June 26

(June 7, 2016) —  Part of Hickman County will be without power on Sunday, June 26, from 7 a.m. until approximately 3 p.m. Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative will use this time to change out steel poles and equipment crossing the river at Turney Center to improve service reliability. Extra crews from other MLEC locations are being brought in to help keep outage time to a minimum.

Energy Price Higher in June

(May 31, 2016)  —  Electric prices are taking a significant jump in June. In fact, Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative residential members using 1200 kilowatt-hours will be paying $8.46 more than they did last month. The Tennessee Valley Authority’s seasonal (summer rate) and an increase to their fuel cost adjustment are the cause.  A complete rate schedule is available online.

Library Donations

In honor of Lineman Appreciation Day in April, Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative donated a copy of the children’s book, Lineman, The Unsung Hero by Michelle Larson, to public and elementary school libraries in its service area.

FCA Down for May

(April 28, 2016)  —  The Tennessee Valley Authority Fuel Cost Adjustment will be lower in May 2016.  The decrease means that Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative residential members using 1200 kilowatt-hours of electricity will pay $1.09 less than they did in April.  A complete rate schedule is available online.

MLEC Helps DCDL Media Expand Emergency Services

(April 27, 2016, 2016) — DCDL Media of Waverly is getting a little help from their friends at Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative in the form of a zero-interest loan to grow their services for Humphreys County. The loan is made possible by MLEC’s Revolving Loan Fund (RLF).

Outage Reporting - Back To Normal

(April 13, 2016) — Need to report a power outage after hours to Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative? Things are back to normal after a temporary change was needed. Going forward, members can return to contacting the regular after-hours call center for their location:
